Subcommittees


Four subcommittees have been formed under CUMTA which will set norms, standards, guidelines, service-level benchmarks related to the topics, and provide topic-related inputs in the development of policies for urban mobility. 

1. Road Safety & Non-Motorized Transport (RS & NMT)

3. Multi-Modal Integration
4. Urban Mobility Resilience

CUMTA will act as Secretariat for these Subcommittees. The Special Officer/Member Secretary CUMTA will be the ex-officio Co-Chair of these Subcommittees.

Multi-Modal Integration

  • Ensure physical, fare, and service integration in transport systems.
  • Foster interagency consensus on Multi-modal integration projects, Fare         Integration etc.
  • Propose a plan for centralized traffic system to manage traffic.
  • Review of DPRs and oversee phase wise implementation with respect to multi         modal integration.
  • Introduce new pilot project like Mobility as a Service (MAAS).

  • Monitor progress and compliance of project or program on Urban Mobility         Resilience
  • Provide inputs on planning alternate mobility arrangement during calamities and         facilitate its coordination.
  • Ensure urban mobility resilience repository is maintained under CUMTA.
  • Develop interagency coordination arrangements w.r.t resilience
  • Develop resilience standards.

  • Monitor progress and compliance of project or program on Urban Mobility Resilience identified under CMP and other relevant studies.
  • Ensure establishment of a medium of communication between participating departments and citizens for calamity situations.
  • Provide inputs on planning alternate mobility arrangement during calamities and facilitate its coordination.
  • Ensure urban mobility resilience repository is maintained under CUMTA.
  • Plan for integration of resilience consideration in operation and maintenance of mobility infrastructure and services.
  • Develop interagency coordination arrangements w.r.t resilience covering – Emergency Management, Contingency Management, Recovery management.
  • Develop resilience standards.

  • Foster interagency consensus on Multi-modal integration projects (incl. NMT, MAAS) from planning, to prioritizing interventions to overseeing implementation of projects and facilitate resolution of issues and challenges.
  • Monitor delivery of critical projects like fare integration through common ticketing digital payment system.
  • Review plan preparation for service integration of agencies including streamlining headways, frequency, timings, fare integration, service quality, payment, coordination with IPT.
  • Plan for integratPropose a plan for centralized traffic system to manage traffic. ion of resilience consideration in operation and maintenance of mobility infrastructure and services.
  • Review of DPRs and oversee phase wise implementation with respect to multi modal integration.
